Trip Advisor’s Terrible Reviews

Asia, Europe, Travel

I love Trip Advisor. It helps me. I will never stay at a hotel that has a satisfactory rating under 85% and I love running around a city to chase the delicious food of restaurants that sit in a Top 10 rated spot. Trip Advisor has helped create some of my best life memories (ie. FOOD).

Trip Advisor, also keeps me amused when I’m bored. I’m addicted to terrible comments. Every now and then, I have nothing to do and I read them: reviewers who provide a site a 1 star rating followed by a particularly nasty (and mostly entertaining) comment. For example, the reviewer that visited the Eifel Tower, gave it 1 star and declared it “an eyesore”.

So for my own, joyous amusement, I have collected our 2016 Holiday location highlights and captioned them with 1 star Trip Advisor reviews.

Saint Mark’s Square, Venice, Italy

“A huge seagull swoops and kills a dove, tearing it apart and gorging on it before our very eyes”

Kuangsi Falls, Luang Prabang, Laos

“it’s slippery when one try go for swim”

Dead Sea, Jordan

Another one by someone who doesn’t understand water:

“slippery entry into sea”

East Side Gallery, Berlin, Germany

“t was depressing history as lots of jews were killed during WWII. and bering was fully bombed during te second worldwar”

Colosseum, Italy, Rome

Sistine Chapel, Vatican City

“it’s devoud of any spiritual feeling”

Note: This photo is from a different part of Vatican City. You’re not allowed to take photos in the Sistine Chapel.

Angkor Wat, Cambodia

“nothing out of the ordinary”

“I prefer American rocks”

Royal Palace Phnom Penh, Cambodia

“nothing special”

National Orchid Garden, Singapore

“ok it’s a garden so what”

Halong Bay, Vietnam

“Halong boring, when you have seen 1 rock? you;ve seen emm all!!!!”

Nha Trang Beach, Vietnam

This one is hysterical:

“Arabic coffee with chocolate in morning time me and my friends”

Miracle Gardens, Dubai

“if you have never seen flowers before then it might be interesting”

Love it. I find that get Tripadvisor comment rage where I scream and yell at my laptop as I read. I read a recent review of a hotel where a lady complained that they only had one-ply toilet paper.
