Where in the world can you find an Oasis?

Africa, Asia, Oceania, The Americas, Travel

Oases! They don’t seem real! They seem more like something you would only see in a movie, or while lost in the desert and hallucinating from dehydration.

But, Oases span 5 of the world’s 7 continents: Africa, Asia, Australia, North America and South America.

Some notable Oases include:

Palm Valley, Northern Territory, Australia

Australia’s only Oasis. Fun fact: you can swim here.

Al Hasa, Saudi Arabia

Al Hasa is the biggest Oasis in the world. As the only water supply in a very large region of Eastern Saudi Arabia, it was a vital place for survival over the last millennia. Recently, Al Hasa has been nominated as one of the seven wonders of the world.
